Today Show Appearance Postponed

In our previous post we announced that Erik Feder, our Ideal Client, was going to be on the Today Show on Jan. 16 to talk about his site Wheretofindparking.com.  Unfortunately, that appearance has been postponed.  But...he's managed to get a heck of a lot of other PR in the last two days.  Here's a note he sent to us:

As these things go, The Today Show has postponed my appearance. They say that they definitely want to a segment with me in the future. It's unfortunate, but not at all unheard of in the TV world.

On the brighter side, the article in The NY Daily News did run yesterday and because of that I got calls from Fox-TV News and CBS-AM Radio News. I ran into the city and Fox shot the interview which ran on the 6pm & 10pm nightly news. I did the CBS interview by phone and that ran hourly from 6pm-4am last night as well. Response has been really good. I'll also be shooting a segment with the Ch.11 morning news next week.

I think we should do an interview with Erik about how to get publicity!

Erik Feder: Ideal Client Finalist

The Blog Squad introduces Erik Feder, for your consideration...

Listen to Erik's introduction.

Erikfeder I’m an author/self-publisher and have marketed my books and ebooks for 1.5 years. My products are based on parking; they are called "The Feder Guide to Where to Park Your Car in Manhattan (and Where Not to Park It!)".

We’re about to launch our new www.WhereToFindParking.com internet service, wherein people will get the information in our books/ebooks in small, easy to use chunks. Users see a radius (they pick the size) of all parking regulations and parking garage information based on the cross street they input. They may also input a time of day and date, allowing them to see the "good" (legal) regulations and open parking garages. This service will be formatted for mobile devices - Palm Pilots, Blackberrys, PDAs, Cellphones - any internet connection.

Jennifer McLean: Ideal Client Finalist

The Blog Squad presents Jennifer McLean, for your consideration...

Listen to Jennifer's introduction.

Jennifer As a newbie entrepreneur I am ready for some succinct advice. Even though I think I know everything, it hasn’t taken long before I have been hit with the REALITY of online marketing and starting my own business. Picture me standing, like in a 12-step program— “my name is Jennifer, I am an entrepreneur, and I need HELP.”

I am smart and very strategic having spent that last twenty years in marketing, all of which was in corporate America (mostly on the agency side). This January I decided it was time to be my own boss, so I quit my job as the VP of Strategy running the PR department for an agency. I wanted the flexibility to offer my proprietary system, “credibility branding,” and not have to change it and mold it for my employer’s approval.

Philippa Kennealy: Ideal Client Finalist

The Blog Squad presents Philippa Kennealy, for your consideration...

Listen to Philippa's introduction.

Philippa_2 My business is The Entrepreneurial MD - where physicians become thriving entrepreneurs.

As most of us know, physicians aren't savvy business people. The ugly secret many don't know is physicians are deeply frustrated.

A 2003 survey revealed that 28 percent of doctors were contemplating a career change due to the practice environment. This was 56 percent for neurosurgeons, 40 percent for OB/Gyns and 36 percent for ER doctors.

There's discontent among even doctors early in their careers.

One-quarter of residents would choose another field if they had to begin their education again, from a survey that same year. These statistics have worsened since 2003, given anecdotal reports of physician dissatisfaction with clinical practice. The thought is dismaying to anyone who’ll be a patient, - most of us - in the next twenty years. Who will we be able to entrust our health to?

Susan Cartier-Liebel: Ideal Client Finalist

The Blog Squad presents Susan Cartier-Liebel, for your consideration...

Susancl I am new to the blogosphere but no stranger to having passion for new frontiers. And I like to be a front runner in everything I do.

I am a lawyer, solo practitioner, adjunction professor at Quinnipiac University School of Law in Connecticut (I have no issue with the time difference for your talk show),  a consultant for solo and small firm practitioners, columnist for the Connecticut Law Tribune and Law.com, which are both affiliates of ALM Properties which run 39 publications and various and sundry websites throughout the country.

My goal is to take my consulting business nationally (as I've already gotten exposure from my writing and started to create a nice fan base) and to build a solid platform to market my book on starting a solo practice. (The book is in the beginning stages. )  Without question, I know blogging can do this. But it must be done correctly and with the best mentoring available, I can achieve my goals.
