Adam, good question. If your blog is linked to your website and vice versa, that is one way you will increase traffic to your site. When you use your blog to educate and inform people about your products and link to your site, then the ranking of your blog drives traffic to your blog and your blog will drive people to your site. That's certainly how it has worked for us and many others.

I have a question about blogging. My website where I do my selling is www.junobaby.com. But my blog site is www.junobaby.typepad.com. If I update my blog regularly, that may help my blog for search, but not my actual e-commerce site. I'd be interested in hearing how you reconcile that?

I just finished reading your Quick-Start Guide to Setting Up a Blog for your Business. Thank you.
I'm confused re registering my blog name as a domain name. I don't understand the process of redirecting the new domain URL to my blog URL.
