I encourage everyone to pay attention to all credible information on using blogs in business. Dave Taylor has a great reputation for offering valuable guidance - tune in if you can.

One of my business clients in a very traditional industry was the first blog I set up for a company other than my own. Since then, I have helped companies in the retail industry, construction industry and cosmetic surgery industry by setting up blogs. Right now I am actually working with a company that generates most of their rather large volume of business on line.

I usually don't work with start-ups because others specialze in that niche. However a very attractive woman with a marvelous accent asked me to help her market her new business line - Laser Hair Removal. I could only say - of course.

Her Laser Hair Removal business went from $0 in revenue to $7,000 in one month using three tools: A web site, a blog linked to the web site and PPC driving traffic to the the blog and website. She spent about $320 on PPC the first month and with the support of the site and blog she earned a huge return on investment.

The other companies do not have similar results for one major reason: The Laser Hair Removal client follows a consistent approach of updating her blog with fresh content and continuing to use PPC while we build search engine ranking. In other words she works at it and the others do not.
